REFLECTION is a recurring public art program in St. Moritz. A selected artist is invited to work on-site and create new, site-specific works. The works may be temporary or permanent and are contextualized within the surrounding environment and involve the local community.

In the first year of REFLECTION, Italian artist Marinella Senatore has been invited to create light installations in St. Moritz. Her work is based on participatory processes with local communities, from which quotations in various languages emerge and are made visible in the installation. Themes such as empowerment, collectivity, and coexistence are central to this process. The light installation also recalls the pioneering history of the first electric light in Switzerland, which illuminated St. Moritz in 1879.

ALP 2026 is a one-week summer academy in St. Moritz that brings together artists, researchers, and curators for interdisciplinary exchange. Through workshops, excursions, and discussions, participants jointly explore current issues at the intersection of art, nature, and society. The academy concludes with a public weekend featuring lectures, discussions, and events. The aim is to spark new ways of thinking and facilitate collective experiences. ALP sees itself as an open, international space for thought and experience within the cultural context of the Upper Engadine.
